The Department of Science, Technology and Entrepreneurship plays a key role in fostering innovation, research and technological development within the academic community. The Department represents a centre of research excellence and intellectual development. Through the coordination of and support for scientific projects, the Department's staff enable the implementation of high-quality research that contributes to the development of new knowledge, technologies and methods. The Department actively monitors the latest scientific trends and encourages multidisciplinary collaboration among different academic fields, provides support to researchers in preparing and submitting project proposals for funding at national and international levels, and monitors project implementation, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The Department continuously works to improve the infrastructure and resources required for scientific activities, including access to modern technologies, databases and publications.

In the field of entrepreneurship, the Department develops and implements programmes that foster an entrepreneurial spirit and cooperation between the academic community and industry. This includes support for start-ups, the development of incubators and accelerators, and the promotion of the transfer of technology and knowledge into commercial products and services. Particular attention is devoted to networking researchers with entrepreneurs and investors in order to ensure sustainable development and competitiveness in the market.
